platforms, due to the structural changes in information sharing processes. It is

possible to analyze these data by social network analysis. Social network analysis

is defined as a method that focuses on social relationship structures and the study

of mapping and measuring relationships among social actors in a social network.

Social network analysis allows us to define human relations and to examine ways

of connecting. Social network analysis has commonly been used in engineering

and computing, and has recently become an important method in social sciences.

This six-week course focuses on various social network analysis tools, and

provides sample cases of analysis. Participants can contact the instructor to ask

questions related to the course.

Bilgi paylaşımı süreçlerinde yapısal değişimle birlikte çeşitli sosyal ağ sitelerinde milyonlarca bilgi paylaşılagelmektedir. Bu verileri “Sosyal Ağ Analizi” ile analiz etmek mümkündür. Sosyal ağ analizi, insanlar arasındaki sosyal ilişki yapılarını araştıran bir yöntem ve sosyal ağdaki, sosyal aktörler arasındaki ilişkileri haritalama ve ölçme araştırmaları olarak tanımlanmıştır. Sosyal ağ analizi, insanlar arasındaki ilişkileri tanımlama ve ardından birbirine bağlı olma biçimlerini inceleme olanağı sunmaktadır. Sosyal ağ analizi, mühendislik ya da sayısal alanlarda kullanılmaktadır ancak sosyal bilimler alanlarında önemi son yıllarda anlaşılmaya başlanmıştır.

Bu derste çeşitli sosyal ağ analizi araçları örneklerle tanıtılacak ve örnek uygulamalar sunulacaktır. Ders toplam 6 hafta sürecektir. Konuya dair her türlü soruyu dersin öğretim elemanına sorabilirsiniz.
