Language and emotion 'at work' (II)
Description
Welcome to Language and Emotion at work! The whole course is divided into two parts (Part I and Part II), each of which contains five modules. The MOOC aims at spreading the knowledge and the results of our research (within the EMO-FunDETT project) having to do with the relationship between language and emotion. We explore the ways in which emotion is conceptualized and expressed in human language, especially in English and Spanish. We look into the expression of emotion at the different linguistic levels (morphological, phonological, syntactic, semantic and pragmatic), and we also present the results of some interdisciplinary studies which have tried to shed light into the relationship between the expression of human emotion and emotional intelligence, as well as into how the capacity to express and manage our emotions can foster our leadership skills and/or have a positive effect on our relationships and development at the workplace.
